A waste collection service for French office buildings, and the platform that runs it. Recyclables and commercial waste are tracked container by container, from pickup through sorting, so property groups can read their impact live and export it per site and per tenant for ESG reporting.

1 year

A year of raw development — no AI assistance, no generated scaffolding. Modelling rounds, containers, weights and a regulated waste register means first learning how the business physically runs, and none of that can be guessed at.

Two sides, one system

The round

Every container is identified and scanned where it is collected, so a pickup becomes a record carrying a weight, a waste type, a site and a time — captured on the round, not written up afterwards.

The report

Managers open a dashboard built on those same records: impact in real time, weight by waste type, exports per site and per tenant, and a monthly register showing collection days and where the waste went.

What made it hard

  1. 01

The data is captured on the street

Collection happens on a round, in a bin room, by crews wearing gloves and holding to a schedule. Any capture step that is optional or slow simply does not happen — and the month's report comes out with holes in it.

  2. 02

The report is published, not just read

These figures feed a client's ESG reporting. A weight attributed to the wrong site is not an internal annoyance; it is a number a property group publishes about itself.

  3. 03

    One building, many tenants

Tenants share a single bin room, yet each has to be given its own consumption back. Splitting that after the fact is estimation — it has to fall out of how the collection was recorded in the first place.

  4. 04

The register has to reconstruct the past

French regulation requires a traceable waste register. Current state is not enough: any past month has to be reproducible, collection day by collection day.

How we built it

01

Every container identified, none estimated

Containers are tracked one by one, so a collection is an event with a place, a time and a weight behind it rather than a figure reassembled at the end of the month.

02

One set of records behind the live view and the report

The dashboard and the monthly report are built from the same collection events, so there is nothing to reconcile and no version of the numbers that contradicts the other.

03

Consumption split per site and per tenant

Exports come out already separated by site and by the tenants occupying it — the shape ESG reporting actually needs.

04

A register that replays the month

Collection days and the route the waste took are kept rather than rolled up, so a past month can be reproduced in full when someone asks where a load went.
